Varied ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions. Prepares medication orders. Delivers medications and IV admixtures to patient rooms, critical care areas, and other ancillary areas. Credits to the patient and restocks usable medications/IVs returned to the pharmacy. Assists the pharmacists with audits and completes assigned unit inspections. Restocks automated medication dispensing machines. Restocks tackle boxes and cart inserts (crash carts, airway carts, latex carts), and completes check in/out process. Communicates stock utilization and ordering needs. Compounds and labels extemporaneous liquid and solid products for patients according to procedure. Prepares IV admixtures including TPNs, chemotherapy IVs, IV piggybacks, and syringes following strictly described, specific policies and procedures. Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health's Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED when nationally certified through NHA. PTCB
nationally certified technicians do NOT require HS diploma or GED. National Pharmacy Technician Certification Registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy at time of hire and proof of. Completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training for child and dependent adult abuse within three (3) months of hire.
