Our experienced inpatient team at Alton Memorial Hospital is looking for detail oriented and patient centered technicians! In this supportive environment, you will be able to provide the best patient care to a wide range of patients and disease states. Full-Time Nights 7 on 7 off schedule 9pm-7am Holidays and weekends required during scheduled rotation Overview Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital. Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose The Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient 1, under the direct supervision of a staff pharmacist and according to standard procedures, assists in dispensing and transporting medications. This entry level position learns to conduct non-sterile and/or sterile compounding and is responsible for maintaining the required documentation & records. Responsibilities Maintains quality assurance standards and required documentation; maintains regulatory cleanliness compliance. Assists in the preparation of medication orders, to include workflow management, basic preparation & dispensing, and non-sterile compounding. Uses automated/electronic systems to manage product preparation, inventory, patient records, and regulatory compliance. Supports various inventory activities, to include inventory storage, ordering, rotating, beyond use dating, and cleanliness.
