Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract A 13-week inpatient hospital pharmacy technician opportunity is available with contract to hire intent. This role involves both inpatient operations and sterile compounding duties in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform inpatient pharmacy technician tasks including medication preparation and distribution. Compound sterile medications in the clean room following strict protocols. Prepare crash carts and ensure timely restocking. Operate automated medication dispensing systems such as Omnicell and auto cart fill. Maintain accuracy and compliance with hospital and regulatory standards. Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare staff to support patient care.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, rotating shifts: 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM, and 2:30 PM-10:00 PM Rotating weekends required Qualifications /
Desired Experience:
Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician license PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) certification Demonstrated inpatient hospital pharmacy technician experience Experience with sterile compounding in a clean room environment Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team This role offers the chance to apply your specialized skills in sterile compounding and inpatient pharmacy operations while working within a supportive hospital setting.
