This contract role offers the opportunity to work Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the potential to transition from temporary to a direct hire position. The work environment focuses on retail outpatient pharmacy services using the Pioneer RX computer system.

Responsibilities:

Accurately prepare and dispense medications as prescribed. Assist pharmacists in daily pharmacy operations. Manage inventory and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals. Provide excellent customer service to patients receiving outpatient prescriptions. Maintain records in compliance with pharmacy regulations and policies. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify prescription orders as needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience. Previous experience in a retail outpatient pharmacy setting. Valid Illinois pharmacy technician license. Familiarity with Pioneer RX computer software preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced team environment.

Schedule:
