This is an Hourly position. Overview This position will provide pharmacy support to OSF St. Katharine Medical Center in Dixon, IL Day shift of 7:00am-4:30pm and one PM shift per week ending between 6:30pm-9:30pm; rotating weekend day shift (every 3rd-5th weekend)
POSITION SUMMARY
The Certified Pharmacy Technician I assists pharmacists in ensuring medications are promptly, accurately and safely dispensed, delivered, charged and credited. Prepares and labels medications to match orders. Maintains records related to drug use and charges. This position requires the Technician to be proficient in both dispensing oral medications and in preparation of I.V. solutions. Duties may vary by assigned area or shift. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served, including neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric. Work involves standing, lifting and walking continually while in the process of performing duties. Qualifications

Education:
High School/GED Licenses/Certifications:
​ Pharmacy Technician license tracked by IDFPR (Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation) Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) validated by PTCB or National Healthcareer Certification (ExCPT)
Experience:
​At least 18 years of age Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
1 year pharmacy Demonstrates knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical terminology Other requirements/information: Demonstrates ability to perform and apply arithmetic calculations Intermediate computer skills. OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
