Job Title:
Pharmacy Technician As a Pharmacy Floor Technician, you will play a crucial role in preparing finished prescriptions for final verification by a pharmacist. Your contributions will ensure the efficient and accurate filling of drug orders, maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. Responsibilities Accurately and efficiently fill daily drug orders under the supervision of a pharmacist. Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle or dispose of them according to procedures. Pre-pack frequently ordered medications, label, and store them as needed during low volume times. Manually package materials and products. Pull and pick medications from shelving and other storage areas, and prepare pre-pack racks. Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy checks. Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication or product that does not scan properly. Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies as needed. Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA. Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required or expected. Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Active IL Pharmacy Technician License issued by the IL Board of Pharmacy. National Certified Pharmacy Technician certification. Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience. Strong computer and data entry skills to maintain accuracy. Ability to stand for long periods. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to work at a moderate speed and handle high volume orders. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Work Environment This position requires working Monday to Friday from 5:30 PM to 2:00 AM, with a weekend rotation from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Training will be provided for 3 weeks, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Extended hours may be necessary based on business needs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Grange, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.84 - $23.00/hr.
