Job Title:
Pharmacy Floor Technician - 2nd Shift (PM) Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Pharmacy Floor Technician, PM shift from 6:30 PM to 3:00 AM, with alternate weekends from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing prescriptions for final verification, ensuring accuracy and efficiency under the supervision of a pharmacist. Responsibilities Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner under the supervision of a pharmacist. Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle or dispose of them per procedure. Prepack frequently ordered medications, label, and store as needed during low volume times. Package materials and products manually. Pull and pick medications from shelving and other storage areas. Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy checks. Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication or product that is not scanning properly. Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed. Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA. Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required or expected. Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to work at a moderate speed. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Possess and maintain a clear and active IL Pharmacy Technician License issued by the IL Board of Pharmacy. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred. Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification through PTCB or NHA. Minimum of 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician. Experience in a closed-door pharmacy is preferred but not required. Work Environment This role is based on the PM shift from 6:30 PM to 3:00 AM, with every other weekend scheduled from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM. The position requires sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and walking intermittently throughout the day. You may need to work extended hours as needed and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. The work environment is representative of a pharmacy setting, adhering to safety and dress code policies. A 10% shift differential will be added to the base pay for hours worked after 5 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Grange, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
