Pharmacy Technician /
Fulfillment Technician Location:
North Chicago, IL Join a growing specialty pharmacy team where you'll play a key role in both prescription processing and medication fulfillment. This hybrid position combines traditional pharmacy technician responsibilities with hands-on fulfillment duties, ensuring patients receive their medications accurately, safely, and on time. What You'll Do Enter and process prescription orders while supporting pharmacists in compliance with state and federal regulations. Verify insurance benefits and assist with prescription coverage investigations. Support patient adherence programs and coordinate medication deliveries. Handle inbound and outbound patient, provider, and insurance calls. Pick, label, pack, and ship prescription medications. Assist with inventory management and restocking of pharmacy supplies. Maintain accurate documentation and patient records. Collaborate across pharmacy and fulfillment teams to improve processes and deliver exceptional patient service. Meet quality, productivity, and performance goals in a fast-paced environment. What We're Looking For Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician license (CPhT strongly preferred). 1-3+ years of experience in specialty, retail, mail-order pharmacy, PBM, or a healthcare setting. Experience with prescription data entry, insurance verification, and customer service. Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a high-volume environment. Comfortable handling patient and provider communications by phone. Proficiency with pharmacy systems and Microsoft Office applications. Why Join Us? Work Environment This position operates within a flexible work schedule between 7am and 7pm. It offers a supportive, collaborative, and team-oriented culture where everyone helps each other. The role requires handling 30-40 calls per day in a call-heavy environment. Candidates must be comfortable in a fast-paced setting, with a focus on efficiency and productivity. The position is based at a pharmacy space onsite at the North Chicago headquarters, with opportunities for cross-functional training and potential for permanent conversion. #ACTpharm26 Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of North Chicago, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.05 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
