Pharmacist-in-Charge / Pharmacy Director About ReShape Rx ReShape Rx is a 503A patient-specific compounding pharmacy dedicated to delivering personalized, high-quality compounded medications, including peptides, GLP-1 agonists, mitochondrial support, and wellness therapies. We are expanding our Chicago-area operations and seek a reliable team member to support our growing patient and provider network. Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our Northbrook, IL team. This role focuses on administrative and operational support such as data entry, prescription processing, shipping, and inventory management. No sterile or non-sterile compounding experience is required — this position does not involve working in the cleanroom or preparing medications. We provide training on our pharmacy systems and workflows. This is an excellent opportunity for certified or registered technicians (or those eligible for registration) who excel in organized, behind-the-scenes pharmacy operations. Key Responsibilities Perform prescription data entry, verification of patient and prescriber information, and accurate labeling. Manage shipping and fulfillment processes, including packaging, cold-chain preparation (when applicable), and coordination with carriers. Handle inventory management, ordering, receiving, and stock organization. Provide excellent customer service to patients and providers via phone, email, or in-person (e.g., answering inquiries, processing refills, and resolving basic issues). Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation in the pharmacy management system. Support general administrative tasks and quality assurance activities as assigned. Ensure compliance with all federal, state (IDFPR), and pharmacy policies. Keep the work area clean, organized, and efficient.
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. Eligible for registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT via PTCB or ExCPT) preferred or willingness to obtain. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Excellent computer skills and comfort with data entry (training on specific pharmacy software provided). Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods when handling shipping tasks. Preferred (but not required): Prior pharmacy experience (retail, hospital, or administrative roles). Experience with shipping, logistics, or inventory management. Interest in pharmacy operations and patient care support. This role does not involve sterile or non-sterile medication preparation or cleanroom duties.
