This position participates technical and administrative functions related to the pharmacy.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Restocking and checking of Pyxis machines and nursing units, including onsite and offsite units. Verify integrity of medications in Pyxis machines/floor stock areas. Make routine deliveries of filled medication orders and pick up new orders to be filled. Package and maintain records of medications not prepackaged. Assist as a "second check" in the accuracy of the order entry process. Prepare and deliver intravenous piggyback admixtures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required High School Diploma/GED 1 year Sterile Products Preferred 1 year Sterile Compounding Preferred 1 year Pharmaceutical/Pharmacology Preferred Pharmacy Tech, State Cert (PHT)

• State Licensing Board Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board PTCB or ExCPT certification required for those with pharmacy tech license. N/A if intern Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT)
• National Healthcareer Association (NHA) PTCB or ExCPT certification required for those with pharmacy tech license. N/A if intern Pharmacy Intern Permit (PHINTERN)
• State Licensing Board .
