Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract A retail pharmacy is seeking two Indiana Licensed and PTCB-certified Pharmacy Technicians to provide essential support in a community-focused setting. This contract role offers an opportunity to work approximately 24-30 hours per week, primarily Wednesday through Friday, with no weekend shifts required. The pharmacy operates Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., handling an average of 30 prescriptions daily.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately enter orders using the PioneerRx system (preferred experience) Prepare and fill prescriptions while adhering to safety protocols Process customer transactions at the register with professionalism Assist in maintaining smooth daily pharmacy operations Potentially support a sister facility, following training and as needed
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current Indiana Pharmacy Technician license and PTCB certification Previous retail pharmacy technician experience is essential Familiarity with the PioneerRx order entry system and Eyecon Medication Counting Device is preferred Ability to complete a mandatory 3-day training and orientation prior to starting Must be a local candidate able to commute within the area This role involves working in a small, focused team with two technicians on site, while pharmacists remotely verify prescriptions from a nearby hospital pharmacy. The chance to assist at a sister community pharmacy may arise, requiring some flexibility after proper training.
