Responsibilities Under the supervision of a Pharmacist and accountable to the Pharmacy Director, assists the department in the procurement, packaging, distribution, and control of medication to the patients Receives and stocks medications Prepares unit dose, bulk, and intravenous medications for dispensing Pre-packages non-unit dose medications Checks Pyxis inventory and refills medications in Pyxis units Provides delivery of doses Prepares IV Admixtures Demonstrates thorough knowledge of patients' right to confidentiality Qualifications Must have basic math skills National certification preferred or must be completed within one year High school diploma or equivalent Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
