Job Description

Pharmacy Technician Cumberland Family Medical Center (CFMC) operates a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) offering a wide range of health and social services at multiple sites throughout Kentucky. Location:
Cumberland Pharmacy (located within First Choice Immediate Care - Adair) The Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacists in delivering safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy services. This role involves assisting with prescription processing, medication preparation, customer service, and administrative duties while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications Accurately enter prescription information into the pharmacy system Measure, count, label, and package medications Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality (HIPAA compliance) Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and directing inquiries appropriately Process insurance claims and handle billing issues Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and checking for expired medications Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Assist with medication prior authorizations and refill requests Follow all federal, state, and company policies and procedures Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous pharmacy or healthcare experience preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and customer service skills Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn pharmacy software systems Skills & Competencies Attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented with the ability to work independently Knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology (preferred) Schedule Requirements Full-time position, 100% clinic-based, in person work required. Work schedules are set at the discretion of CFMC and may be adjusted at any time based on the operational needs of the organization.
Compensation:
