May 22, 2026 Full-Time Locations Showing 1 location Glasgow, KY 42141, USA Job Details Description Reports to Manager, Pharmacy Services; under the general supervision and work direction of the staff pharmacists. Fills patient orders, floor stock, and ancillary department supplies for terminal check ny a registered pharmacist or certified pharmacy technician. Enters charges and credits onto patient profiles vis CRT. Delivers patient medications from the pharmacy, returns orders, and other pharmacy-bound materials. Maintains drug stock within the pharmacy. Job Requirements Minimum Education High School diploma or equivalent required. Some college work in life sciences desirable. Minimum Work Experience Previous experience in hospital or community pharmacy highly desirable. In lieu of prior experience, evaluation period may be extended while on-the-job training occurs. Previous computer experience desirable. Familiarity with basic equipment such as typewriter, electronic calculator, etc.Required Skills Knowledge and Skill:
Follows general instructions. Understand several defined work routines. Reads various references, extract information, and applies basic arithmetic functions. May operate basic equipment. Knowledge of basic medical and pharmaceutical terminology and basic pharmacy calculations/equivalents required.Problem Solving/Decision Making:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Delivers medications from pharmacy to nursing units; return items from units as needed. Leaves pharmacy within 10 minutes of scheduled rounds and completes rounds within 15-20 minutes. Delivers medications to proper unit, picks up orders, requisitions and other materials in out-box and handles transfer items properly. Transports and stores IV fluids in hospital in a safe and secure manner. Accurately fills requisitions; initial and dates sheets. Maintains proper stock in picking areas; removes outdates discovered on a monthly basis. Checks that all times and tasks are completed by end of shift. Check incoming IV fluid order against packing slip to ensure what is ordered checks to what was received and billed. Before distribution to the nursing floors, stickers each IV fluid with description and charge code number accurately and legibly. Accurately posts charges and credits onto CRT in timely manner. Assures patients are charged for proper drugs/quantities. Assistance to pharmacists in new order areas as needed. Accurately sets up orders with correct medication. Performs the essential functions relating to drug purchasing and inventory control. Demonstrates a consistent level of performance. Uses appropriate judgment; refers problems to pharmacist if needed. Organizes time effectively to meet changing workload demands. Interacts effectively with other members of the pharmacy team on a regular basis. Never releases drug or patient information without prior pharmacist check. Knows and follows department procedures; knows location of departmental policy manual. Assists training of new employees and pharmacy students assigned to department. Projects a professional image for department.
