Full Job Description Responsibilities:
Assist pharmacists in providing patient care in various healthcare settings, including acute care and critical care environments. Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Maintain inventory of medications and supplies. Enter prescription information into computer systems accurately. Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals. Follow proper procedures for medication storage, labeling, and disposal. Adhere to aseptic technique when compounding sterile products. Assist with medication administration, including IV infusions.
Experience:
Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred but not required. Familiarity with medical terminology and pharmacy operations is a plus. Knowledge of aseptic technique and medication administration is beneficial.
Educational Requirement:
The candidate must be a certified Pharmacy Technician and registered with the State Board of Pharmacy. The candidate must have at least 6 months of Pharmacy Technician experience. Current CPR Certificate and experience working in a correctional environment are preferred, but not required.
Pay:
$20.00 - $20.65 per hour
