We are committed to providing exceptional pharmaceutical care through high-quality sterile compounding, non-sterile compounding, and retail prescription services for equine and companion animal patients. Our team is dedicated to patient safety, regulatory compliance, and outstanding customer service. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Pharmacy Data Entry Technician to join our Retail Pharmacy team. Position Schedule Full-time (40 hours per week) Monday through
Friday:
8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Rotating Saturday schedule: 1 out of every 4 Saturdays (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM) Closed on all major holidays Position Summary The Pharmacy Data Entry Technician is responsible for accurately entering prescription information, processing refill requests, maintaining patient records, and supporting workflow within a fast-paced veterinary pharmacy. This position plays a critical role in ensuring prescription accuracy, regulatory compliance, and exceptional service to veterinarians and clients. Primary Responsibilities Accurately enter prescription orders into the pharmacy management system. Verify patient, prescriber, and medication information for completeness and accuracy. Process new prescriptions, refill requests, and prescription transfers. Communicate professionally with veterinarians, veterinary staff, and clients regarding prescription information. Assist with prescription clarification and resolve data entry discrepancies. Maintain accurate electronic patient and prescription records. Support workflow to ensure timely prescription processing. Adhere to all state and federal pharmacy regulations, USP standards, and pharmacy policies and procedures. Maintain confidentiality of patient and client information. Collaborate effectively with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to provide exceptional customer service. Perform other pharmacy-related duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Previous prescription data entry experience preferred, but not required. Retail pharmacy experience is a plus. Veterinary pharmacy experience is beneficial but not required. Current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification preferred, but not required. High school diploma or equivalent required.
