Central Fulfillment Pharmacy Tech I - Days Baptist Health life insurance, paid time off, tuition assistance United States, Kentucky, Louisville Aug 26, 2026 Summary The Central Specialty & Mail Order Pharmacy Technician is accountable for prescription fulfillment, distribution, and inventory management under pharmacist supervision in a fast paced, high-volume mail-order facility with large scale automation. This position plays a key role in pharmacy operations providing excellent service through high quality performance. The Central Specialty & Mail Order Community Pharmacy Technician functions in a multi-skilled environment which requires the application of teamwork, leadership and flexibility. This position will require collaboration with the central call center pharmacy team to coordinate services and will have a low degree of interaction with patients and caregivers.
Job Description:
Baptist Health is looking for a Central Specialty & Mail Order Pharmacy Technician to join our team at our new Central Pharmacy, LaGrange, KY. Louisville, KY vicinity. Performs all tasks associated with medication fulfillment for centralized specialty and home delivery prescriptions as permitted by state regulatory and accrediting agencies. Performs nonsterile compounding per current guidelines and as permitted by state law and under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Maintains compliance with cold chain and room temperature prescription packaging requirements based on seasonal pack-out changes. Assists in inventory management processes including order review, performing compliant receiving, inventory returns, restocking shelves, and physical inventory preparation. Assists in the maintenance of pharmacy automation systems pursuant to state & federal regulations and BH policies and procedures. Assists with maintaining the pharmacy department by keeping it clean and in order and ensures all assigned tasks are completed at the end of the shift. Collaborates with onsite call center team to coordinate services and resolve prescription issues. Escalates problems to a pharmacist or manager if unable to resolve independently. Assists in training new staff and contributes to team meetings. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. If not currently registered, the registration with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy will be required before or on the date of hire (only an application and fee). Previous retail, mail order, and/or central pharmacy work experience preferred.
