This high-level technician level role is an e xcellent opportunity to join our company and help with our expanding Specialty Pharmacy program! F ull-time position, Monday to Friday - 11:30am - 8pm EST . Seeking candidates who live within a commutable distance to our Louisville, KY pharmacy location. We offer a variety of benefits including: Medical; Dental; Vision 401k with a match Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays Quarterly Incentive Bonuses Tuition Reimbursement Company paid benefits - life insurance; and short and long-term disability Salary starting at $57,000 annually and up, depending on experience The Pharmacy Technician Intake Supervisor is responsible for managing incoming patient, prescriber, and/or prescription-related communication received by the pharmacy, including but not limited to triaging communications to the appropriate internal departments, processing incoming faxes and electronic prescriptions, the proper set up of patient profiles, creating new drug orders, and communicating with prescribers to request refill prescriptions. This role requires working knowledge of prescription data entry and pharmacy terminology to execute workflow. The supervisor will also provide quality control by routinely examining patient profiles and/or orders for processing accuracy and productivity, adjusting personnel to meet work volume needs and service levels, training, employee coaching, and performance management.
Intake Supervisor Essential Functions :
Supervises intake staff in a leadership role to maintain a positive working environment by creating synergy and teamwork to minimize employee relations issues and reduce turnover. Communicates effectively across pharmacy and/or corporate teams and with patients, and successfully resolves issues. Creates patient profiles and processes orders in a timely manner from electronic prescription and fax queues, requests refill prescriptions as appropriate, manages incoming documents from the fax server Assists Manager in day-to-day pharmacy operations and in implementing new procedures to ensure that the accurate and timely dispensing of quality pharmacy services is consistently delivered to all patients using effective service leadership and customer skills. Works with pharmacy management to recruit, select, hire, orientate, develop, and train new associates. On an ongoing basis, evaluates, coaches, and utilizes performance management practices to motivate and set expectations for Intake staff. In collaboration with management, drafts and delivers effective corrective action plans and disciplinary action to technicians performing at substandard levels. Manages and reports on daily activity of vertical team members, including monitoring of daily workflow and Pulse reporting. Works with pharmacy management to control operating expenses by effective utilization of personnel, equipment, and supplies to maintain and improve services within approved budget. Works with pharmacy management to gain a thorough understanding and working knowledge of job functions performed by each team member. Works with Intake Manager and/or Director of Pharmacy Operations on other responsibilities, projects, implementations, and initiatives as needed. Performs activities related to the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal laws and REMS programs Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations and compliance with professional practice and patient confidentiality laws. Intake Supervisor Qualifications :
Education/Learning Experience Required:
High School Diploma or GED, licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law, Previous Experience in
Pharmacy Intake, Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician Desired:
Associates or Bachelor's Degree, Advanced Certified Pharmacy Technician, Specialty pharmacy experience
Work Experience Required:
4+ years pharmacy experience, previous leadership experience
Desired:
5+ years pharmacy experience, 1+ years supervisor experience
Skills/Knowledge Required:
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work with all levels of management and staff, vast knowledge of pharmacy terminology and process including sig codes, and roman numerals, brand/generic names of medication, advanced typing, math and analytical skills.

Specialty pharmacy operations, leadership skills, independent decision-making abilities, able to conduct research, be resourceful, and self-reliant, excellent communication skills
Licenses/Certifications Required:
Registration with Board of Pharmacy as required by state law, Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB)
