In this vital role, you will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, managing medication inventory, and providing exceptional patient service. Your dedication to accuracy, aseptic technique, and patient-centered care will ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes in a fast-paced, critical care environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy, Retail pharmacy Responsibilities Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, including compounded preparations. Assist with medication intake, verifying prescriptions against medical orders and ensuring proper documentation. Maintain meticulous inventory control of pharmaceuticals, including stock replenishment and expiration management. Provide excellent patient service by answering medication-related questions and supporting patient care initiatives. Follow strict aseptic techniques during none-sterile compounding to ensure safety and compliance with healthcare standards. Support pharmacy operations by managing medication administration schedules and coordinating with staff. Utilize medical terminology effectively to interpret prescriptions, communicate with healthcare providers, and document procedures clearly. Qualifications Proven pharmacy technician experience, preferably within LTC pharmacy, community pharmacy Critical care experience is highly desirable, demonstrating ability to handle complex medication regimens. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration protocols. Experience with I aseptic technique is essential for none- sterile compounding roles. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools. Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care. Certification as a pharmacy technician (e.g., PTCB or equivalent) is required; ongoing education in medical terminology or critical care preferred.
