Weekly pay, Vision, Dental, MedicalPosition Summary The Pharmacy Floor Technician is responsible for accurately preparing prescription medications for final pharmacist verification. This role involves picking, labeling, scanning, packaging, and organizing medications while ensuring compliance with pharmacy procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Accurately and efficiently fill daily medication orders under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Pick and retrieve medications from shelving, prepack racks, and other designated storage areas. Prepare prescriptions by labeling, scanning, and packaging medications for pharmacist verification. Apply labels to blister cards and scan products to support accuracy checks and quality assurance. Promptly notify the pharmacist on duty of any medication or product that fails to scan correctly. Assist with the processing of returned medications, including proper recycling and disposal in accordance with established procedures. Support the prepackaging of frequently ordered medications by labeling, stocking, and storing products during lower-volume periods. Manually package pharmacy materials and products as required. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation, replenishing supplies as needed. Adhere to all departmental policies and procedures related to safety, attendance, dress code, and performance standards. Comply with all applicable federal, state, and company regulations, including HIPAA requirements. Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet operational demands. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (Required) High School Diploma or equivalent required. Ability to work efficiently and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Active and unrestricted Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy, maintained throughout employment. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy when handling medications and prescription orders. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working as a Pharmacy Technician or in a pharmacy operations environment. Experience with medication packaging, labeling, and inventory management processes.
