Job Title:
Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Floor Technician responsible for picking, labeling, scanning, and preparing finished prescriptions for final verification by a pharmacist. Responsibilities + Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner under the supervision of a pharmacist. + Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose of them per procedure. + Assist in prepacking frequently ordered medications, label, and store them as needed during low volume times. + Manually package materials and products. + Pull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas and prepack racks. + Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy checks. + Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly. + Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed. + Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA. + Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required and/or expected. + Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code. + Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Active MA Pharmacy Technician License issued by the MA Board of Pharmacy. + Pharmacy technician certification. + Ability to work at a moderate speed. + Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School diploma or equivalent. + Previous pharmacy technician experience is preferred. Work Environment The position requires the ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day. Work may involve sitting or standing for seven to ten hours per day and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. The role requires visual acuity to see and read fine print and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment is representative of what an employee will encounter, with shifts from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM Monday to Friday, and every other weekend rotation from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Marlborough, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
