In this vital role, you will support pharmacy operations within hospital or LTC (Long-Term Care) settings, ensuring accurate medication preparation, dispensing, and patient service. Your critical care experience and knowledge of medical terminology will empower you to excel in fast-paced environments, including acute care and IV infusion settings. This position offers an engaging opportunity to contribute to patient well-being through precise medication management and compassionate service. Duties Data Entry Calling doctors Calling facilities for out of stock calling other Pelmeds locations to fill medications work with the inventory team and stock to ensure medications are going out making sure all daily orders are complete Experience Prior pharmacy technician experience in hospital or LTC pharmacy settings is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology relevant to pharmacy operations and patient care Experience with IV infusion preparation and aseptic technique is essential for success in this role Critical care experience or exposure to acute care environments enhances your ability to thrive here Strong patient service skills with a focus on patient care, intake procedures, and medication safety are vital Familiarity with hospital workflows, medication administration processes, and medical documentation standards is advantageous We offer license reimbursement and have great benefits.
