Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will support pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing patient care activities, and ensuring compliance with all pharmaceutical regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a commitment to patient service, and experience working within various pharmacy settings including hospital, community, and LTC (Long-Term Care) environments. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to patient health outcomes through precise medication management and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, including sterile IV infusion and aseptic technique procedures Accurately enter prescription data into pharmacy software systems while maintaining patient confidentiality Prepare and compound medications, including sterile IV admixtures and compounded pharmaceuticals Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory standards and state healthcare laws Support medication inventory management, including stock replenishment and expiration tracking Perform pharmaceutical calculations accurately for dosage determinations and medication compounding Provide excellent patient service by answering queries and supporting medication administration processes Maintain detailed documentation of medication dispensing, compounding procedures, and regulatory adherence Assist with drug regulation compliance audits and documentation requirements Support hospital or clinical pharmacy operations by managing intake, data entry, and medication distribution

2 years pharmacy experience•[
REQUIRED

] Proficient in sterile compounding including Hazardous Drugs/Chemo, use of CSTDs, & priming lines•[
REQUIRED
] Must have documentation of, and be current with, all required USP 797 and 800 competencies•[

aries based on assigned 10h shift (i.e. 0630-1700, 0730-1800, 0800-1830, 1100-2130 HC1
Pay:
$37.00•$38.00 per hour
