Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe and effective distribution of medications to patients in a hospital or acute care setting. You will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient service while adhering to all regulatory and safety standards. Duties Prepare and dispense medications accurately, including sterile products using aseptic technique. Assist in medication administration under the supervision of licensed pharmacists. Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles, ensuring compliance with medical terminology and pharmacy protocols. Collaborate with healthcare providers to support critical care initiatives and optimize patient outcomes. Provide information and support to patients regarding their medications, including inhalation therapies and other treatment options. Monitor inventory levels of medications and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability. Participate in quality assurance programs and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the pharmacy department. Skills Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, including experience in a hospital or acute care environment. Proficiency in aseptic technique and medication preparation processes. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to pharmacy practice. Excellent communication skills for effective patient service and collaboration with healthcare teams. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Commitment to upholding safety standards and regulations within the pharmacy setting.
