Clinical - Pharmacy Technician 1 - 590134#26-21822 Shelby Township, MI Onsite Job Description Job Profile Summary
Position Purpose:
Work with the Pharmacists to accurately prepare prescription orders in a timely manner.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of pharmacy technician or medical office (i.e. biller, coder, office assistance, or prior authorization/certification) experience. Familiarity with drugs commonly used to treat chronic/debilitating illnesses.
Licenses/Certifications:
Current state's Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
Foundation Care:
Licenses/Certifications:
Current Missouri Pharmacy Technician license OR the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire
AcariaHealth and Homescripts:
State pharmacy technician license relative to where the assigned pharmacy is located (exception being NY where a pharmacy technician license is not required). License required at the time of hire. Responsibilities Interact with various departments to provide accurately dispensed prescriptions on a timely basis Work under direct supervision of a pharmacist Perform prescription data entry functions (preQA) by viewing images and inputting prescription information directly into the system Prepare and submit request for prescription refills Initiate clarification requests Receive verbal instructions from prescribers as allowed by pharmacy regulation Complete reorder processing for the timely filling of prescription refills Comply with safety, quality assurance, accreditation, legal, state, and federal regulatory requirements, and company policies Complete work list according to guidelines set by Manager Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards.
