Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in pharmacy operations, with specialized experience in Specialty pharmacy settings. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care by dispensing Specialty Medication. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology and aseptic technique, within a fast-paced healthcare environment. This paid position emphasizes the importance of accuracy, efficiency, and compassionate patient interaction to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes. Duties Prior Authorization of the Specialty Medication in Rheumatology(If needed can be trained on Prior Authorization) Manage medication inventory, ensuring proper storage, stock levels, and timely reordering to prevent shortages. Support patient intake processes by accurately documenting medication histories and verifying prescription details. Maintain detailed records of medication dispensing and patient interactions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing medication inquiries and coordinating with healthcare providers for optimal patient care. Qualifications Valid certification as a Pharmacy Technician from an accredited program or organization. Proven experience working within Specialty pharmacy. Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to pharmacy practice and patient care. Demonstrated ability to manage medication intake processes accurately. Excellent communication skills for effective patient service and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
