Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties Prepare and dispense medications accurately, including sterile IV infusions and compounded medications, following aseptic techniques and sterile compounding procedures Assist pharmacists with medication inventory management, stock replenishment, and pharmaceutical calculations to ensure proper dosing and safety standards Enter patient data into pharmacy software systems with precision, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data entry protocols Support patient service initiatives by providing medication information, answering queries, and ensuring timely medication access Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation policies, and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements Maintain accurate records of medication preparation, dispensing activities, and inventory logs for audit purposes Support hospital or community pharmacy operations by assisting with intake procedures, medication administration documentation, and patient care activities Experience Prior experience as a pharmacy technician in LTC (Long-Term Care), critical care, or hospital pharmacy settings is highly preferred Demonstrated clinical pharmacy experience with knowledge of pharmacological medical terminology and acute care procedures Proven ability to perform IV compounding, sterile IV admixture procedures, and aseptic techniques in a hospital or clinical environment Familiarity with pharmacy software systems used for data entry, medication tracking, and inventory management Knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations related to drug dosages and pharmacological therapies Experience working within patient service environments that require excellent customer service skills while maintaining patient confidentiality Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from an accredited organization is required; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) are a plus Understanding of state healthcare regulations, drug regulation policies, and pharmacy law compliance standards Join us in making a difference by supporting safe medication practices and delivering compassionate patient care.
