Full Job Description Benefits:
401(k) matching Essential Duties Prepare sterile compounded medications, including IV admixtures, under pharmacist supervision. Perform aseptic technique in a controlled sterile compounding environment. Follow all applicable USP standards and company policies. Assist with cleanroom garbing, hand hygiene, line clearance, and work area disinfection. Complete accurate documentation for compounding, cleaning, environmental monitoring, and quality control activities. Make administrative and scheduling calls to patients, providers, and/or caregivers as needed. Perform data entry with accuracy and efficiency. Chart patient progress notes and maintain clear, timely documentation in the pharmacy system. Support prescription processing, order coordination, and communication with the pharmacy team. Maintain inventory of sterile compounding supplies and materials. Label, package, and stage compounded products for final pharmacist review. Participate in training, competency assessments, and quality improvement initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Current pharmacy technician registration/licensure as required by the state. Certified Pharmacy Technician credential preferred or required, depending on state and employer policy. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely. Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. Basic computer skills and comfort with data entry and documentation. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in sterile compounding, IV admixture preparation, or home infusion pharmacy. Familiarity with USP sterile compounding standards. Experience with patient scheduling, pharmacy communications, and clinical documentation. Experience with pharmacy software and electronic charting systems. CSPT certification or willingness to pursue additional sterile compounding training. Physical and Work Environment Requires standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks. May involve working in a cleanroom or controlled sterile compounding environment. Must be able to follow strict gowning, hygiene, and aseptic technique procedures.
