Full Job Description Job Summary:
Columbia Orthopaedic Group is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will support the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications, assisting patients, and ensuring efficient pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining accuracy and compliance with all regulations.
Responsibilities:
Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing prescription medications. Accurately enter patient and prescription information into the pharmacy system. Process insurance claims and assist with billing-related inquiries. Provide excellent customer service by assisting patients with questions and requests. Maintain inventory, including ordering, stocking, and organizing medications and supplies. Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations and company policies. Handle phone calls and communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous pharmacy or healthcare experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
