Job Summary We are seeking a Part Time Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. This role involves supporting pharmacy operations through medication preparation, patient service, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to delivering accurate medication dispensing and excellent patient care within a dynamic hospital or clinical environment. Responsibilities Assist licensed pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately, including sterile IV admixture procedures and IV infusion preparation. Maintain strict aseptic techniques and sterile compounding procedures to ensure patient safety. Manage medication inventory, including stock replenishment and proper storage according to pharmaceutical regulatory compliance standards. Support patient intake processes by verifying prescriptions, updating patient records, and providing medication information. Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws, including drug regulation and medical terminology standards. Participate in hospital or clinical team efforts to deliver comprehensive patient care and medication administration. Maintain detailed documentation of pharmacy activities, including drug compounding, inventory logs, and regulatory compliance records. Requirements Certification as a Pharmacy Technician through an accredited program is required. Prior experience in LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy, critical care, or acute care settings is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory compliance, drug regulation, and state healthcare regulations. Experience with IV compounding, sterile IV admixture procedures, and aseptic technique is essential. Familiarity with medical terminology and hospital pharmacy operations is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications related to clinical pharmacy or infusion therapy are advantageous. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining accuracy.
