Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic pharmacy team. In this role, you will support medication dispensing, patient service, and pharmacy operations in compliance with state and federal regulations. Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately, including sterile IV admixture procedures and IV infusion preparation. Maintain aseptic techniques and sterile compounding standards during medication preparation. Manage medication inventory, including stock replenishment and proper storage according to pharmaceutical regulatory compliance. Support patient intake processes by verifying prescriptions, updating patient records, and providing medication information. Ensure adherence to state healthcare regulations, drug regulation policies, and pharmacy laws during all pharmacy activities. Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, clarifying medication instructions, and supporting medication administration processes. Document all pharmacy activities meticulously to ensure compliance with medical terminology standards and regulatory requirements. Requirements Prior experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably within LTC (Long-Term Care), critical care, or hospital settings. Knowledge of clinical pharmacy practices, including IV compounding and sterile technique procedures. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred. Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulatory compliance, drug regulation policies, and state healthcare laws. Strong understanding of medical terminology and acute care processes. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced healthcare environments supporting patient care. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for medication intake documentation and inventory management.
