Position:
Global Procurement Specialist (Pharmacy Technician Background required)
Location:
On-site
  • Hillsborough, NC Schedule:
    Monday
  • Friday, 8:30 AM
  • 5:00 PM Salary $40,000
  • $45,000 annually + benefits
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with a Pharmacy Technician background to transition into a business-focused pharmaceutical procurement role. This position manages the full quote-to-shipment process, including medication sourcing, vendor pricing negotiations, purchase order processing, and shipment oversight. This role plays a direct impact on revenue and margin growth and offers an excellent opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician looking to move out of retail into a stable, weekday office environment.
Responsibilities:
Source prescription and OTC medications from approved vendors Research hard-to-find and backordered drugs Negotiate vendor pricing and apply company markups Prepare and send customer quotes Process purchase orders within the ERP system Coordinate shipments and verify order accuracy Manage cold chain and controlled products when required Track shipments and maintain clear communication with customers
Qualifications:
Pharmacy Technician experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of NDCs, brand/generic medications, and dosage forms High attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced office setting Must pass background check and drug screen About the Company We are a growing pharmaceutical distribution organization focused on operational excellence, strategic sourcing, and customer service.
