In this energetic and fast-paced position, you will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, managing patient records, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. Your dedication to accuracy, patient service, and teamwork will contribute to improving health outcomes and supporting our community's well-being. Duties Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Perform pharmaceutical calculations to ensure correct dosages and medication quantities. Enter prescription data into pharmacy software systems (PrimeRX) with precision, maintaining meticulous records for each patient. Assist with medication inventory management, including stock replenishment and expiration date monitoring. Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, explaining medication instructions, and supporting medication administration processes. Ensure compliance with all pharmaceutical regulatory standards, including drug regulation laws and state and federal pharmacy laws. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times while handling sensitive health information and adhering to HIPAA guidelines. Support community pharmacy operations by managing intake, processing prescriptions, and assisting with drug regulation documentation. Requirements Prior experience as a Pharmacy Technician is highly preferred, especially in Retail Pharmacy. Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, medical terminology, aseptic technique, and pharmacological medical terminology. Experience with pharmacy software systems (Preferably PrimeRx, BestRX) for data entry and medication management is essential. Strong understanding of state healthcare regulations, drug regulation laws, and community pharmacy operations. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient care and communication. Ability to perform pharmaceutical compounding accurately in an aseptic environment while maintaining strict sterile techniques.
