Short Description The Certified Pharmacy technician performs supportive duties to assist registered pharmacists to accurately and safely dispense and distribute medications. Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, certified technicians may perform sterile compounding, inventory control and ordering, restocking of automated cabinets, repackaging of medications, collection of medication histories, and other duties delegated to them. Experience Required 2 year's preferred Education Requirements High School Diploma Associate's Degree Preferred License/Certification Requirements Registration as a pharmacy technician with the NJ Board of Pharmacy Certification from a nationally recognized organization such as PTCB Special Requirements BOP registration application within 10 days of hire Certification within 90 days of hire
