We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping patients, working in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and being part of a collaborative team dedicated to exceptional patient care. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a key role in supporting pharmacy operations, assisting patients, processing prescriptions, communicating with providers and insurance companies, and ensuring a smooth prescription journey from intake through fulfillment. What You'll Do:
Assist pharmacists with daily pharmacy operations and workflow management. Process and enter prescriptions accurately into the pharmacy management system. Verify and update patient demographic, insurance, and prescription information. Communicate with patients, providers, and insurance companies regarding prescription status and coverage. Answer incoming phone calls and provide exceptional customer service. Assist with prescription intake, refill requests, and patient follow-up. Coordinate with healthcare providers to obtain prescription clarifications and required documentation. Assist with prior authorizations and insurance-related requests when necessary. Maintain accurate documentation and patient records. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and pharmacy policies. Support inventory management, medication ordering, and other operational tasks as assigned. Work collaboratively with pharmacists, technicians, and support staff to deliver an outstanding patient experience.
What We're Looking For:
Pharmacy Technician experience is preferred but not required . Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly preferred. Strong communication and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable learning new systems and pharmacy processes. Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Experience with PrimeRx is a plus Why Join Ahma Rx?
