Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract This opportunity seeks an experienced Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract in Upstate New York, starting as soon as possible. The role offers a variable schedule with 5 eight-hour shifts per week, primarily during afternoons.
Responsibilities include:
Compounding sterile and non-sterile medications Restocking automated dispensing systems (Pyxis) Delivering medications to patient care floors Managing incoming pharmacy calls and inquiries The ideal candidate holds a valid New York State Pharmacy Technician license and possesses at least one year of inpatient pharmacy technician experience. Proven skills in sterile and non-sterile compounding are essential to ensure patient safety and medication accuracy.
Qualifications:
NY Pharmacy Technician license (required) Minimum 1 year of inpatient pharmacy technician experience Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities This position is well-suited for a travel pharmacy technician willing to work in various hospital settings within Upstate New York. The contract nature allows for gaining valuable experience and professional growth in a dynamic healthcare environment.
