Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract A healthcare facility in Upstate New York is seeking a skilled travel pharmacy technician to provide critical support within their pharmacy operations. This 13-week contract role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care through a variety of essential pharmacy technician duties in a dynamic inpatient setting.

Upstate New York, near
Ithaca Schedule:
Variable days and afternoons 5 eight-hour shifts per week
Key Responsibilities:
Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding Restock automated medication dispensing systems (Pyxis) Deliver medications to patient care floors Manage incoming pharmacy calls and assist clinical staff Support the pharmacy team with daily operational needs
Qualifications:
Active New York State Pharmacy Technician license required Minimum of 1 year experience in an inpatient pharmacy setting Knowledge of sterile and non-sterile compounding techniques Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills for interfacing with nursing and medical staff This contract assignment requires a technician who is adaptable and detail-oriented, capable of ensuring accurate medication preparation and distribution.
