Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract Seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient pharmacy operations in Upstate New York. This contract opportunity offers an immediate start and a 13-week assignment in the Trumansburg area, perfect for professionals looking to apply their skills in a dynamic hospital environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding to prepare medications accurately and safely. Restock Pyxis medication dispensing systems ensuring availability on nursing units. Deliver medications to floors promptly to maintain efficient workflow. Manage incoming pharmacy calls, addressing inquiries from healthcare staff. Support the pharmacy team in daily operational tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Valid New York State Pharmacy Technician license. Minimum of 1 year of inpatient pharmacy technician experience. Strong knowledge of sterile and non-sterile compounding procedures. Ability to work variable days and afternoon shifts, with a schedule of five 8-hour shifts per week. Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
