Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Direct Hire A direct hire opportunity is available for a Day Shift Production Pharmacy Technician in a closed-door, long-term care facility in Bardonia, New York. This role offers the chance to work in a high-volume environment, preparing approximately 600 prescriptions daily, with cross-training in the dosage department and toting processes. The position supports timely medication delivery to residents, ensuring quality and accuracy in all tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare medications in appropriate packaging such as blister packs and unit-dose formats for efficient distribution. Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications, while monitoring proper storage and expiration dates. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient and medication records to comply with facility standards. Work collaboratively in a fast-paced pharmacy setting to support resident care.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience. New York State Pharmacy Technician License preferred but not required. PTCB certification preferred but not required. Willingness to learn and adapt to the Frameworks software system; training provided. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Rotating weekend shifts required.
