Drug Mart Health Solutions is seeking full-time Pharmacy Technicians in our state of the art Central Fill Facility in Avon Lake, OH . •Must be available to work afternoons and evenings Under the supervision of a pharmacist the technician will be responsible for: Fulfilling prescription order Preparing packages Distribute medications in a fast-paced production environment Additional responsibilities may include inventory management and operation of automation-related equipment. A technician must be able to work well individually and in a group setting. This is an entry level position where opportunities for advancement are available!
PRIMARY/ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Packing of prescription orders accurately and efficiently following facility's policies and procedures Pre-sorting orders accurately Sorting orders into totes for store delivery accurately and efficiently following facility's policies and procedures Closing, placing the correct license plate on the outside of the tote, placing the correct manifest paperwork in the totes, and securing the totes for store delivery following facility's policies and procedures Accurate post-sorting of totes for delivery to correct delivery depot  Organize and stock packing, sorting, and closing work areas Adhere to pharmacy regulations and HIPAA requirements Maintain a clean and organized work environment Participate in loading and unloading of courier vehicles Ensure accuracy of paperwork and tote count for courier dispatch Must be capable of packing orders at a minimum rate of 150 prescriptions per hour Other duties or projects as assigned by Central Fill leadership Adapt to a rapidly changing environment Ability to work independently and in small teams Adhere to all federal and state pharmacy regulations
QUALIFICATIONS
Meeting the qualifications of the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy for a registered or certified technician is required High school diploma or equivalent Must be 18 years of age or older
ESSENTIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
Must be capable of packing orders at a minimum rate of 150 prescriptions per hour Ability to read and follow directions for all required tasks Perform repetitive tasks with accuracy as assigned Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds Ability to utilize a pallet jack and operate a dock scissor lift and baler Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be flexible with workload Effectively communicate with other employees and management to ensure tasks are completed as assigned Job duties will require the employee to stand for extended periods of time, walk, use hands to handle or feel equipment, reach with hands or arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl Maintain confidentiality as required by law and corporate policy
Schedule:
Sunday-Thursday 10am-6:30pm Fridays (optional) Saturdays (closed)
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
The applicant must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED equivalent. In the state of Ohio, certification and/or state registration is required to work as a pharmacy technician. DMHS may hire individuals prior to them obtaining the necessary qualifications for registration - while supporting them through the process. All positions must successfully pass a pre-employment Background Check, Drug Screen and FBI/BCI Fingerprint Background Check. The FBI/BIC test may cost as much as $60 but candidates will be reimbursed with the results are received and the hiring process is completed.
