Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract To Hire This opportunity is for a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient hospital pharmacy operations in a fast-paced clinical environment. The role requires expertise in sterile compounding and medication automation systems, providing an essential role in ensuring safe and efficient medication distribution.
Responsibilities include:
Managing medication order entry using Meditech Handling medication dispensing with Pyxis automation system Performing sterile compounding procedures according to established protocols Collaborating closely with pharmacists and healthcare teams to support patient care Maintaining accurate documentation and inventory control Working overnight shifts on a 7 on/7 off schedule (9pm-7am), typically Thursday through
Thursday Qualifications:
Current Ohio Pharmacy Technician license National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required Prior inpatient pharmacy experience in a hospital setting Proficient with Pyxis automated medication dispensing systems Strong knowledge of sterile compounding techniques and standards Ability to work nights consistently with a professional and detail-oriented approach This contract-to-hire role spans approximately 13 weeks with the potential for direct hire based on performance and fit. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and the chance to become a permanent part of a respected healthcare team.
