The ideal candidate is reliable, hard-working, a good communicator, a team player, and desiring to give back to the community. Our Pharmacy Technicians must perform all technical functions of data entry and prescription filling with efficiency and accuracy. The role is well suited to individuals who have deep compassion and enjoy problem solving. The Charitable Pharmacy operates Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm. Thursdays til 7pm. Closed on Weekends. Work is Full-time, 40 hours per week. Competitive salary offered based on experience, with comprehensive benefits package. Requirements Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred If applicant is not a certified technician, enrollment in a technician in training program will be required. The didactic portion of technician training will be in a program paid for and overseen by Charitable Pharmacy, although studying is to be completed on one's own time and pace Must be minimum 18 years of age and a high school graduate A background check and approval by the Ohio Board of Pharmacy is required prior to practicing pharmacy Responsibilities Perform efficiently and accurately all technical aspects of the pharmacy including the preparation of prescriptions and compliance with all safe medicine procedures Communicate in person and via phone with patients regarding their medication needs Work effectively with pharmacy interns and student volunteers Participate in the overall quality assurance program for the pharmacy Performs all aspects of prescription processing (entering/ filling/ pulling/ stocking/ billing) accurately and efficiently Ensures volunteers are adequately oriented to the pharmacy and inventory process Ensures end of day check list is complete As directed by the lead technician: (i) Optimizes inventory ordering (ii) Rotates and utilizes donated inventory (iii) Ensures expired medication program execution The Charitable Pharmacy of Central Ohio is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. Charitable Pharmacy of Central Ohio:
The Charitable Pharmacy of Central Ohio launched in 2010 as a local solution to the national crisis around medication affordability. Over 16 years, our pharmacy has continued to grow to meet the needs of our community as well as provide inspiration for other localities launching a charitable pharmacy. We are the only pharmacy in Franklin County that provides pharmacy services to patients at no charge and qualifies patients for up to 12 months at a time. The Charitable Pharmacy's mission is to provide affordable and appropriate pharmacy services, and coordinate access to health care, for people who are vulnerable in our community.
