Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist the pharmacist in filling and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and package medications for patients.
- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies.
- Enter prescription information into the computer system.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries.
- Follow all safety and quality assurance protocols.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or equivalent experience.
- Current pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices.
- Experience working in a hospital or acute care setting is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
