Role Overview In this capacity, you will support pharmacists and medical professionals by managing medication inventory, processing prescriptions, preparing doses, and ensuring all patient records remain precise. You will collaborate directly with the clinical team and patients, ensuring that every task is performed with strict adherence to privacy standards, regulatory requirements, and internal clinic protocols.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities Support the daily functional needs of the clinic pharmacy alongside pharmacists and clinical personnel. Help ensure safe medication delivery by preparing, labeling, and organizing pharmaceuticals under pharmacist oversight. Manage the processing of medication requests and handle all associated documentation. Identify and report any inconsistencies in medication orders to the pharmacist to ensure optimal patient safety. Contribute to accurate patient care by assisting with medication reconciliation and record maintenance. Facilitate the refill process by acting as a liaison between patients, providers, and pharmacies. Help maintain an organized pharmacy environment by managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and receiving shipments. Ensure the integrity of the medication supply by monitoring for recalls, expiration dates, and storage compliance. Support regulatory compliance by assisting with the documentation and tracking of controlled substances. Prepare medications for administration or dispensing to help streamline the clinic's workflow. Provide clear, professional communication to patients regarding their medications while escalating clinical inquiries to the appropriate provider. Protect sensitive patient data by strictly following HIPAA guidelines and internal privacy mandates. Input and manage data within electronic health records and pharmacy software to ensure system accuracy. Support administrative efficiency by handling medication-related reports and essential recordkeeping tasks. Foster a productive environment by keeping the pharmacy workspace clean, orderly, and hazard-free. Uphold high standards of care by strictly following all state and federal regulations and safety protocols. Promote effective patient outcomes by working in close coordination with nurses, physicians, and the broader healthcare team. Complete additional tasks as required by the clinic. Required Qualifications Must hold a valid Pharmacy Technician certification. Prior experience in a hospital, specialty, or clinical pharmacy setting. Demonstrate high precision and attention to detail to ensure the safety of patient information and medication handling. Possess foundational knowledge of healthcare procedures, pharmacy terminology, and common medications. Proficiency in data entry and computer systems. Strong organizational and interpersonal communication abilities. Ability to safeguard sensitive information and maintain patient privacy.
