  • Pharmacy Assistant Duties & Responsibilities:
  • + Assists pharmacist in filling prescriptions; uses a repackaging machine; and heat sealer.
+ Receives, maintains, and completes inventory reports for medical and pharmaceuticals requisitioned. + Ensures that medications are kept separated according to 340B requirements, funding source, and OSDH program area. + Assist pharmacist with ensuring accurate medication pricing is loaded in EHR. + Receives, maintains, and completes inventory reports for medical and pharmaceuticals used in the treatment and management of illnesses. + Types labels and posts all information on appropriate records, including all EMR or EHR systems + Distributes filled and labeled prescriptions to County Health Departments. + Ensures that drug supplies are used according to dates; removes outdated supplies from stock; assists in maintaining inventory; requisitions supplies; checks incoming supplies for dates, dosage and conformance with requisition. + Assists in the monitoring of electronic temperature monitoring system, to ensure product integrity. + Cleans and maintains pharmaceutical equipment; prepares standard solutions. + Assists and supports with all pharmacy operations related duties, including pharmacy phone and email monitoring. + Assists pharmacist with inventory management, electronic health records and any other projects. Other duties as assigned
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • + Three years of experience as a pharmacy clerk; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting the completion of thirty semester hours of college course work for each year of the required experience.
