Duties Prepare and dispense medications accurately under pharmacist supervision, including IV infusions and aseptic techniques for sterile preparations Assist with medication intake, verification, and patient medication reconciliation processes Support patient service initiatives by providing clear medication information and answering patient inquiries with professionalism and compassion Maintain meticulous records of medication administration, inventory management, and pharmacy documentation Ensure compliance with medical terminology standards and hospital protocols for medication handling and storage Participate in medication delivery rounds within hospital units, including critical care areas, ensuring timely and safe distribution Adhere strictly to aseptic techniques during compounding and preparation of sterile medications to prevent contamination Requirements Proven pharmacy technician experience with a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication management processes Prior experience in LTC pharmacy, hospital settings, or acute care environments is highly desirable Critical care experience or familiarity with IV infusion procedures is a significant advantage Knowledge of aseptic technique principles and medication administration protocols Excellent patient service skills with a focus on patient care and safety Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail Certification as a pharmacy technician according to state regulations or national standards is preferred Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
