In this energetic and fast-paced role, you will support pharmacists by preparing, dispensing, and managing medications across various healthcare settings, including hospital, community, and LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacies. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes through precise medication management, regulatory compliance, and compassionate service. Header Duties Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, including sterile IV infusion compounding and aseptic techniques to ensure safe administration. Manage medication inventory, perform data entry into pharmacy software systems, and maintain accurate records for regulatory compliance. Support patient service initiatives by providing clear medication instructions, answering questions, and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation standards, and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance protocols. Perform pharmaceutical calculations for dosage accuracy, drug interactions, and pharmacological medical terminology to support clinical decision-making. Conduct drug intake assessments, verify prescriptions, and prepare medications for dispensing in hospital or community pharmacy settings. Maintain high standards of patient care through effective communication with healthcare professionals and patients alike while practicing proper aseptic techniques during sterile compounding procedures. Header Experience Proven pharmacy technician experience in hospital or community pharmacy environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in LTC pharmacy operations or critical care settings enhances your candidacy. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems, drug regulation guidelines, and medical terminology is essential. Experience with IV compounding, sterile IV admixture procedures, and aseptic technique is strongly desired. Knowledge of state healthcare regulations, drug laws, and pharmaceutical calculations ensures compliance and safety. Prior exposure to acute care or hospital pharmacy settings will support your success in this role. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
