Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will support pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring accurate patient care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Your expertise will directly impact patient safety and satisfaction, especially within specialized settings such as LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy, critical care units, and hospital environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting where precision and compassion are paramount. Duties Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, including compounding and labeling prescriptions accurately Manage medication intake and inventory control to ensure timely availability of pharmaceuticals Support patient service activities by answering questions and providing medication information under supervision Prepare and administer IV infusions following aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety in critical care or hospital settings Maintain detailed records of medication dispensing, patient interactions, and pharmacy logs in compliance with regulatory standards Implement medication administration procedures for patients in acute care environments, ensuring proper documentation Uphold strict adherence to medical terminology standards and hospital protocols during all pharmacy operations Skills Proven pharmacy technician experience with a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication management Critical care experience or LTC pharmacy background is highly desirable for supporting specialized patient needs Familiarity with IV infusion preparation, aseptic technique, and medication administration procedures Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care Strong organizational skills to manage intake processes, inventory, and documentation efficiently Hospital experience or exposure to acute care environments is preferred to navigate complex workflows effectively Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards
Pay:
$16.00 - $23.00 per hour
