Job Description

Our client is seeking a detail‑oriented
  • Pharmacy Benefits Verification Technician
  • to support members, providers, and insurance carriers by ensuring accurate insurance verification and prescription claims processing. This is an excellent opportunity for a
  • state-licensed and nationally certified Pharmacy Technician
  • who enjoys problem‑solving and working in a collaborative, fast‑paced healthcare environment.
  • Locations
  • : North Canton, OH | Hybrid, but primarily remote (1-2 days a month if needed)
  • Pay Rate
  • : $22.50/hour
  • Schedule
  • : Monday-Friday, 11:30 AM-8:00 PM; occasional Saturdays (9:00 AM-5:00 PM) and overtime as business needs require
  • What You'll Do:
  • + Verify insurance eligibility and benefits through outbound calls and follow‑up communications + Resolve prescription and claims issues to ensure timely adjudication + Coordinate with Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) services to support accurate billing + Assist pharmacists and internal teams with audits and compliance reviews + Document all correspondence, escalations, and resolutions in accordance with payer and regulatory requirements •
Required Qualifications:
  • + High School Diploma or equivalent + Active State Pharmacy Technician license (Ohio ) + National certification (PTCB or NHA) + 1-2+ years of pharmacy experience (retail, mail order, specialty, PBM, or managed care) + Strong communication, documentation, and problem‑solving skills + Claims adjudication and secondary billing + Medicaid and discount card processing + PBM or managed care environment
