Job Description
FULLY REMOTE
Pharmacy Technician MUST reside in California 7:30am to 1230pm pst start time, S-ThOR M-F OR
Tu-Sa (Must be comfortable with all shifts) $22/hr starting pay The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for evaluating prior authorization requests received via portal, fax and mail using client clinical criteria. Key responsibilities include reviewing medication requests, communicating coverage decisions, documenting outcomes, researching, and resolving inquiries, and escalating cases requiring extensive clinical review to a pharmacist. For technicians assigned to the fax queue, responsibilities also include reviewing coverage determinations, processing faxed requests within SLA requirements, monitoring multiple work queues, and adapting to changing business needs. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED Active California Pharmacy Technician license/registration (CPT/ExCPT/LPT/PTCB/RPT) Residence within the state of California 1-2 years of pharmacy experience Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Sacramento, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
